This project proposes a framework for extending the functionalities of medical image servers and viewers used in the Digital Image Processing Laboratory (LAPID) at the National University of Costa Rica. The initiative responds to the supervisor’s need for a protocol, based on existing procedures, to integrate new capabilities that support image processing and analysis. A central contribution will be the implementation of an algorithm for digital image treatment, designed to run directly within the laboratory’s servers and visualization tools.
